This Vanilla and Orange Semolina Pudding is gently sweet with mellow flavors. It only uses a few ingredients and comes together in 15-20 minutes. I opted to serve this with a warm Vanilla Pear Compote, but you can use other fruits. Instructions
Semolina Pudding
Mix the milk, vanilla, cinnamon, sugar, honey, butter and orange zest in a small pot. Bring to a boil.
Slowly mix in the semolina. The pudding will begin to thicken. Remove from heat and cool slightly.
Whip whipping/heavy cream to firm peaks. Gradually add it to the semolina pudding. Combine well.
This will lighten the pudding and it make it more airy. You can leave it out, but it won't be as light.
Serve warm or chilled, with the warm Vanilla Pear Compote.
Vanilla Pear Compote
Add the pear (or other fruit), vanilla and sugar to a pan on medium heat. Cook until the fruit has softened, about 5-7 minutes.

Notes
Pear Compote:
You can add some water for a more liquid compote.
Feel free to mash some of the fruit, if you like a variety of texture.
Adding some butter will give some richness.
